This series has been born from a fascination with the use of "cheesecake" pin-up on both sides of the (dining!) table; as women were put back in their corsets and back in their place... only then to use the same medium to shed their clothes and take control! Whichever side, one thing is for sure; the pictures are a celebration of the beauty of women and the nostalgic joy of lingerie in all its eras....

Woman and home

The woman in the home; the missing word is "back". After the second world
war women were firmly placed back in the home. They had successfully kept
their homes and the country running for 6 years; from the office to the
factory floor, the fields to the mechanics garage. Then the men came
back..... How better to send the women home than remind them that they were
pretty little things constrained by the limits of the underwear they had
spent the 1920s and 30s shedding!
